Surroundings Kolovrat and Lipan, on the boundary plains and hills, in recent years strongly marked urbanization and conversion of land into agricultural land. State of the environment has greatly improved thanks to investments after 1989. The restoration of the landscape around the village and contributed to 3 000 plantation trees lining 30km system of more than walking trails. The village is still trying to maintain this trend that buys land from private owners, is fitted with green and turns and in the rest zone.

Municipal district Prague - Kolovraty flows from east to west brook Říčanka, springing near Tehov a leap into the Běchovice Rokytky. Streambed was Kolovraty repaired in a relatively ancient times up to the ford Benice.

Kolovraty can boast Návesní pond in which the bank can comfortably relax. Bathing is not only the citizens Kolovrat water reservoir in the eastern part of the village.

Popular place for walking is a wooded park on the west side Prknovka Kolovrat, who was planted a century ago by pupils of Uhříněves enlightened teacher František Board. Today it is part of an international scout Prknovka area.
