Prior to 1974 Kolovraty was an independent primarily agricultural village on the south-eastern environs of the capital city Prague. The village then administratively belonged to the Prague-East district. At that time, territorial development followed the Zoning Plan of the Prague Central bohemian agglomeration which had come into effect in 1971. This Plan included no future development plans for the village. An important change came into effect on 1 July 1974 when, according to the Act No. 31/1974 Coll., Kolovraty together with other 30 villages were administratively united with the capital city of Prague. New municipal district Prague-Kolovraty was established, formally incorporated into the Prague 10 administrative district. >From now on urban development of Kolovraty follows the Zoning Plan of the Capital City Prague.
